Janey Rose Studio is nestled in the quaint town of Itasca, a hidden gem that radiates charm and character. This small town is rich with history, offering a tapestry of picturesque scenery and delightful spots for our clients to explore before or after their sessions. As soon as visitors arrive, they are greeted by the nostalgic sights of the historic railroad and old factories that tell the story of the area’s past. We have intentionally infused the essence of Itasca into our studio to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that echoes the town’s unique spirit.
Located on our property is a beautifully preserved 113-year-old farmhouse, which serves as the heart of Janey Rose Studio. Photographers and their clients can utilize our spacious wrap-around porch, enjoying the serene views of the front yard adorned with gracefully lined trees. This inviting outdoor space provides the perfect backdrop for relaxation, conversation, and, of course, inspiration for any lifestyle session. Who’s behind the name ?
Hi, I'm Makenzie from MakenzieRose Photography. Owning a studio has always been a part of my bigger vision since I embarked on my photography journey. I dreamed of creating a space that would not only ignite my creativity but also provide an environment where my ideas could truly flourish. As a mom of three beautiful children, I knew I wanted to incorporate their names into the studio, honoring the inspiration they provide me every day. Each studio is a reflection of my daughters and their vibrant, creative spirits, which infuses my work with the love and joy they bring into my life.
Being a mother allows me to empathize with those who visit my studio, and I strive to think of the little details that might make a mom feel comfortable and at ease during their session. With this in mind, I aim to create an inviting atmosphere filled with warmth and thoughtfulness. My personality is carefree and a bit goofy, which I wanted to showcase in the whimsical elements of my studio designs. From playful decor to cozy nooks, every aspect is carefully curated to create a space where families can feel relaxed and have fun while capturing precious memories.
